1. Introduction

Axio: Student Planner ("Axio", "we", "our", or "us") is a student productivity app for iOS. It helps you manage tasks, track assignments and grades, build streaks, and sync with Google Calendar and Google Classroom. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email" option, we receive Apple's private relay address instead of your real email. With Google, we may also receive your profile picture.
• Google Calendar data (optional): If you connect Google Calendar, we read your calendar events. Access is read-only.
• Google Classroom data (optional): If you connect Google Classroom, we read your courses and coursework (such as assignment titles, due dates, and status). Access is read-only.
• Google authorization tokens: To keep your Google sync working, we store the authorization tokens Google issues to Axio on our servers. You can disconnect Google at any time (see Section 7).
• Content you create: Tasks, notes, due dates, grades, flashcards, and any other content you add within Axio, including voice notes if you use that feature.
• Progress and social data: Your XP, level, streaks, achievements, completed-task counts, your Axio ID, and your friend requests and friend connections.
• Notification token: If you allow notifications, we store a push notification token for your device so we can send you notifications such as friend requests.
• Subscription status: If you subscribe to Axio Plus, Apple processes your payment. We receive your subscription status (for example, whether it is active and when it expires) through our subscription provider, RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the app: show your tasks, calendar events, and assignments, and sync them across your devices
• To power gamification features: XP, levels, streaks, achievements, challenges, friends, and the leaderboard
• To send notifications you have allowed, such as reminders and friend requests
• To verify your Axio Plus subscription and unlock Plus features
• To secure the service and prevent abuse

4. Friends and the Leaderboard

Axio includes social features. Other Axio users can find you by your Axio ID and send you friend requests. Some of your progress information, such as your name or Axio ID, level, and XP, can be visible to other users, including on the global leaderboard. Your email address and your Google Calendar and Classroom data are not shown to other users.

5. Service Providers

We use the following third parties to operate Axio. They process data on our behalf or as part of the sign-in, subscription, or notification features you use:

• Supabase: database, authentication, and server functions that store and process your account and app data
• Google: sign-in, and Calendar and Classroom data when you connect them
• Apple: Sign in with Apple, App Store payments, and subscription management
• RevenueCat: subscription status and entitlement management
• Expo: delivery of push notifications

6. Data Sharing

We do not:

• Sell your data to third parties
• Share your data with advertisers
• Use your data for any purpose other than providing and securing Axio

We share information only with the service providers listed above as needed to run the app, and where required by law.

7. Your Choices and Rights

• Delete your account: You can permanently delete your account and associated data from within the app's Settings. Deletion cannot be undone.
• Disconnect Google: You can revoke Axio's access to your Google data at any time from your Google Account's third-party access page at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• Notifications: You can turn notifications off in your iPhone's Settings.
• Access, correction, or export: You can view and edit most of your data in the app. To request a copy of your data or ask a privacy question, email us at the address below.
• Subscriptions: You can manage or cancel Axio Plus in your Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it in your Apple ID settings.

8. Data Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account in the app, we delete your account and the associated app data from our systems. Records held by Apple and RevenueCat about your purchases are governed by their own policies.

9. Data Security

We use access controls and encrypted connections to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

Axio is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Google API Services

Axio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google Calendar and Classroom data only to display it to you within Axio. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not transfer or sell it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
